Azam's one week BCT diary

Article 1

PAS Vice President Husam Musa is not invited to comment on Abdullah - don't poke your nose into other people's business, put your heart into your own business (PAS).What makes him think Tengku Razaleigh is a suitable substitute for Abdullah? Tengku ditched Umno and formed Semangat 46 and later he betrayed his supporters by rejoining Umno because he was given position in the government.

Malaysia does not need such flipflop leaders and he is also tainted with the BMF scandal. Husam should work hard for Pakatan Rakyat and not waste time with other people's problems. PAS must stop harping on the Islamic state and for hudud laws in a multiracial society.

As you can see in this article , they are few arguments that can defined as fallacy and methapor. Let start with first example .

In this statement writer said

What makes him think Tengku Razaleigh is a suitable substitute for Abdullah? Tengku ditched Umno and formed Semangat 46 and later he betrayed his supporters by rejoining Umno because he was given position in the government.

He did not state the reason why Tengku Razaleigh must not replace current prime minister but he used the previous credibility of Tengku razaleigh to divert reader's attention and making Tengku Razaleigh looks like very bad person.

a) What makes him think Tengku Razaleigh is a suitable substitute for Abdullah? Tengku ditched Umno and formed Semangat 46 and later he betrayed his supporters by rejoining Umno because he was given position in the government

If you look carefully the writer is using Red heering fallacy by attacking the subject using the past history of the subject. The writer tried to divert reader's attention to something else instead giving good premises and supporting argument why Tengku cant replace Abdullah as prime Minister.

When the writer said "

b) don't poke your nose into other people's business, put your heart into your own business

The Writer uses Metaphor to explain his intention on the arguement to the subject. He did not mean the subject needs to poke his nose but using other example as metaphor to explain his argument.

c) PAS must stop harping on the Islamic state and for hudud laws in a multiracial society

This is a vague statement , there are no premises and supporting arguement why Pas must stop harping on the issue. The argument is not valid and very bad.He just hanged the statement without explaining what is the reason to support his statement.
